My first encounter with an inflammatory bowel disease and Irritable bowel symptoms happened several years ago.
Not being able to have a Significant bowel movement for weeks at a time, I was very concerned.
I was diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis. After a 9 day stay in the hospital and taking the customary drugs (steroids) I was released with the suggestion of surgery.
I refused the surgery and opted for a more natural treatment that cured me (my words) and some say remission.
Later it was determined that I didn’t have Ulcerative colitis, but Crohns disease. With all the test I had taken biopsies, blood test, colonoscopy how could I have been misdiagnosed? Well my research was on and here are a couple of things I discovered

Crohns And More Autoimmune Diseases
A systemic yeast infection or other fungal infections have not only been misdiagnosed as crohns but fibromyalgia, Lupus, Arthritis, Leukemia. A systemic yeast or other fungal infection can cause many symptoms of other disorders

I always say “your health is your own responsibility” I say that just for the reason that is mention above (mis- diagnosis). Also a few years ago I heard the term (iatrogenic death)<<< click on the link. That word gave me a new perspective on the world of medicine and it was truly frightening.
The business of medicine (and yes it is a business),the Big Business is more than that it’s about politics, money, power and control. As much as we like to bury our heads in the sand (I would like to bury my head in the sand also and hope this reality would go away, it won’t).
